Undergraduate Taster Day – UCL Institute of the Americas (UC15249)
Discover our exciting undergraduate degrees offered by the UCL Institute of the Americas, located in the heart of Bloomsbury. This event aims to give you an authentic insight into what it is like to be a student at UCL.
This event is designed to inspire students to pursue studies in the History and Politics of the Americas. You will be able to explore undergraduate programmes that focus on the historical, political and social issues concerning the Americas and their global relevance.
On the day you can attend programme talks, meet the Programme Director and go on a tour of the Bloomsbury campus to see some of the amazing facilities on offer. You will also have a chance to meet and talk to current UCL students like Phoebe:
"I chose to study history and politics of the Americas because I hadn't decided between history or politics, and I always had quite a big fascination with the region. The degree also helped me when applying for jobs for after I graduate. It is the only degree of its kind in the UK and it was something that employers asked me about specifically. I also talked a lot about the skills I gained during my degree in interviews and I am very fortunate to say that I have a job in Public Sector Finance waiting for me after I graduate."
