Connecting the right academic researchers with policymakers, and vice versa, is crucial for crafting evidence-based solutions to address strategic challenges
The Challenge
One of the key challenges in the policy-making process is the disconnect between academic researchers and policymakers. Despite the abundance of valuable research, much of it remains undiscovered and underutilized by those who shape public policy in London. In similar veins, researchers often struggle to identify key individuals in London Government and Boroughs who are working on related areas of interest. This disconnect hampers the development of informed, evidence-based policies that can address complex urban challenges.
Our Solution
To address this challenge, we are launching a comprehensive matchmaking service which is designed to bridge the existing gap. We aim to leverage both human facilitation and digital tools to create meaningful connections between researchers and policymakers. Through effective bi-directional matching of academic researchers with policy professionals, we a better placed to produce evidence-based, policy-relevant solutions to address London’s strategic challenges
