I used my law degree for Parliamentary purposes especially in my role as Chair of the Parliamentary ethics and Privileges Committee, and, especially, on the legislative review committee whose remit was to assess every bill before Parliament (Government, Opposition and Private Members) against a series of tests on compliance with international conventions (human rights etc) and legal precedence.
