Welcoming the new Inclusive Culture Hub

Your central point for finding out about Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) at the 91app. Our EDI framework sets out our aim to establish a diverse institution where everyone succeeds, is included and feels that they belong.
The Inclusive Culture Hub is our brand-new space on the Student Portal for finding out about Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) here at the 91app. It is the central point where you can self-direct, reflect and explore different resources that aspire to be regionally sensitive.
In this article, we bring you a breakdown of some of the different sections that you can visit at your own leisure.
Safe Spaces
We recognise that for many of you studying with us it is important to create a space to be able to connect with others.
Whether you’re looking to connect with a specialised community of UoL students, or to receive non-judgmental and anonymous peer support, explore our safe spaces area to get started.
In this section you will find information on how to access the app. You can also navigate to Group Forums for communities such as LGBTQ+, Parents, Sober Students, Anxiety and Neurodivergence. For .
Regional sensitivity and local safety
This section provides support and information to raise awareness and recognition of our diverse students from over 190 countries. It includes a regionally sensitive approach to provide guidance on how you might navigate local safety.
You will find links to global helplines, blogs on managing impacts of global events and self-care during traumatic experiences as well as a short course on Suicide Awareness training and a breakdown of suicide prevention in certain countries. You will also discover information regarding LGBTQ+ and Women’s health. .
Calendar of events
Our a list of events to acknowledge and celebrate our student body. Here you can gain an understanding about cultural and religious events as well as inclusive dates for your diary.
This section is designed to be re-visited, you can read at your own pace and follow along the important dates throughout the year. You will find descriptions of each date of interest as well as useful links, blogs and social posts that we have posted in previous years.
